Happy Holidays to Everyone!!

Wish you all the best for the holidays and the New Year!! Hope you all are having a wonderful time with friends and family! We're on the third day of Christmas and closing in to the big night, New Years Eve. I'm lucky enough to have some days off from work. Some time for myself and my projects, fixing photos and finishing up an order on a fascinator. And last but not least; cleaning up the house, which looks like a small pig stie, after neglecting the growing piles of dishes and laundry for several days now.. I should be able to get it nice and shiny again, just in time for our New Years party!

We're having lovely Miss Lindy Lee and her man over, for New Years eve. Hopefully Miss E and her man, Kim will be joining us too! And maybe my sister. Not the biggest New Years party, but sometimes the smallest parties can also be the nicest and most memorable ones. The most important is the people that you are with I think, being with good friends is what counts on a night like this;)

Back to Reality..

Oooops there goes gravity!! Hope you all are well:) We're back from two wonderful weeks of sun and fun on the beautiful island of Crete! Still in a haze after coming home early this morning and sleeping in all weird and uncomfortable positions on the airplane. Also our flight were one hour delayed, in a very tiny airport full of unpatient tourists.

We had an amazing time, met lots of lovely people, made new friends and saw some old, enjoyed the sea and sun, travelled and discovered. But honestly it feels ok to be home again. I'm not sure if I'd survive an other week of partying, heavy greek restaurant food, raki greek moonshine, made of the vaste from the wine making that they serve at the end of every meal lol.

Like they say; The best part about traveling is coming home. It just feels so true right now.. Though I'm sure I'll miss it all in a couple of days;)

I'll be posting some photos from our trip, as soon as I've got them sorted! How's your summer so far?

Sun & Fun!!

Me and my love will be leaving the cold north, for two weeks of wonderful sun and fun on Crete!! The next two weeks you'll find me relaxing on a sunbed in the shade, or touring the island with my man. We'll be staying at the exact same place where I spent 5 whole years living the greek life, with my greek ex!

Seems like a whole lifetime since and in many ways it is.. But I still remember the language, which usually comes in handy. I'm still pretty much in love with the island, but hate how it slowly gets destroyed by tourism.. I know it's a big part of their livelyhood, but I can't help feeling that they should keep some of the old charm! After all, part from Knossos and ancient cities, that's one of the reasons why people wanted to travel there in the first place..

We made a trip down there last year, but wasn't able to rent a car since my love was still waiting for his norwegian drivers license. Something we'll definitely be doing this year. I'm so looking forward to show him some more of the beautiful island and culture! I'm planning to take him a bit off the beaten tourist track and show him some of the authentic island life;)

The last couple of weeks has been quite rainy, on and off here in Oslo. Where at times it feels like someone has cut a rain cloud open, right over our heads. Poring all of the water out! Longing for some sand between my toes and beer on the beach, in the sunset!!

 

More Holiday & Some Haunted Dinner Plates, Please...

Back at work after two weeks off:/ I shouldn't complain, but I can't help from feeling a bit veird about being here, among the "normal" people, not being surrounded by monsters and undead.. A bit like a deflated balloon, needing some air. Wishing I could take a couple more days off,  just to wind down a bit after the whole Halloween crafting and making, been so concentrated on it for weeks now.. In need of some time walking in the park among the beautiful colors, having coffees at small, cozy coffee shops and maybe visiting an antique market or two, to search for goodies:) We're in desperate need of some new dinner plates, as our kitchen shelf fell down, with a great, big smash a couple of months ago.. We still haven't had time to replace them and are eating out of our plastic picnic wear.. lol Being a bit tiered of the plastic feel to every dinner, I desperately asked mom to buy some at a flee marked she went to on Friday. Luckily she found three lovely, vintage plates for us! They will do for now, till I have time for some searching of my own;) Which reminds me, I found some really cool ones I would love to get, from BeatUpCreations on Etsy. Looks like their doing custom orders too, even more awsome with a whole collection of my favourite monsters! They would fit right into the whole cozy, Halloween-all-year-around feel that we have going in our wee nest;) ahaha Or like I like to say; Moooooahhahahaha!!

Haunted Holiday

Last day at work for a couple of weeks, and it feels grrrrreat!! I still had a few weeks left from this years holiday and decided to take two of them now.. Very convinient indeed, as it will give me more time to plan all the gory glory details for our Carnival Freak Show! Working on my costume and make ghoulish props for our displays. I can allready picture it in my head; a typical morning spent by my work desk, drinking delicious, home brewed coffee, in the midst of sculls and circus effects.. All while thinkering out how to give my guests the best scare:) What a delight!
