Me Time

Relaxing Saturday in the nest.. Morning coffee and surfing the web. My love is still sleeping after a late movie night here yesterday. I usually like to get up a little earlier, to get the most out of my free day. Even if it's just goofing around online. It's something so soothing about Saturday mornings, spent solo, just me an my coffee. While the my love and the rest of the world is sleeping. At least it felt like that, till our little neighbour got up.. lol

What about you guys.. Do you get up Saturday morning, or do you usually sleep in?

Long Looong Week = Red Red Wine

After what's becoming a very long zzzzweek, with many late nights at work, I'm looking forward to a quiet weekend with my love.. Yes, we're skipping the whole Jamboree thing! Just too much work on both of us here lately.. Hmmmm O mighty Godzilla, is it the first sign of getting old?

Instead we will be gathering some friends for some wine and Halloween/birthday celebration in our new nest. The plan is no plan, just hang out and relax. Sounds just swell to me, just what I need if you ask me! Weekend, oh dearest weekend.. You can't get here fast enough!! *Sigh*

Bunker Hill - Red Riding Hood & The Wolf

I have a brutally sweet tune from Bunker Hill, for you guys this Saturday!! I'm gonna walk the hoover and do some cleaning, but I need some inspiration.. What's not better than having some music to the work?

We're also closing in on Halloween, time to warm up with Red Riding Hood and The Wolf! One of my favourite fairytales..;) Do you have a favourite?

Sister's Toilet Soiré

Saturday we went to my sisters toilet soiré, to celebrate her new bathroom! Or the fact that she now has a bathroom at all!! Like us, she has been sharing it with her neighbour and friend next doors. It's one of these old wooden houses, which used to be one household in the old days, where the whole family lived all together. A "generation house" as we call it. With the grandma on the top floor and the old uncle in the appartment my sister lives in now.

When the uncle died and the grandma got to old to live alone, they decided to rent the appartments out. My sister was offered to rent one of them for a descent prize.. It's a lovely old appartment with an old cozy fireplace in the living room, old wooden floors and walls, with one of these old kitchens from before the 50's and many other lovely vintage details!

We made hot cheese sandwiches in the oven, ate Miss K's lovely cake, drank our beer and chit chatted the night away!! On the scary side, one of the guests turned into a real life cake zombie and munched down 4 slices, before anyone even noticed what was going on and managed to stop him.. It was only cream splatter and two berries left after the massacre, for the ones that hadn't even started on the cake yet.. Scary good cake in other words!!

Sunday was a superrelaxed day spent on my beloved sofa, with a pile of pillows surrounding me. Coffee, zapper, magazines, computer, chocolate, chips.. My man. Everything I needed within an arms stretch;)

Yaaaaaaaaaawn.. Those lazy Sundayzzzzz....

Saturday Dinner & Concert

Saturday started out with a cozy dinner and drinks at a friends house, before we headed over to Caven for an other awsome concert:) This time with Paul Ansells Number Nine, a UK/London based country, rockabilly & blues band!! We managed to get some good spots right by the stage. The concert was really awsome and it's the band that I've liked the best there so far! No need to say we had a real good time dancing, chatting and drinking the night away;) Too good time maybe, cuz Sunday went by in a haze as mentioned yesterday..

On the good side.. I'm not sure if I should mention this quite yet, before anything is sure.. But on the other side, it's hard not to spill the beans. I pulled on my white and black bird fascinator, since it fit with the outfit. But also thinking I should promote myself a bit.. Guess what!? I got someone interested in looking at the rest of my creations, for their store!!:) Very excited and a little nervous, thinking I should just cancel every social event from now and concentrate on creating more.. No time to waste... *Cross fingers* :S



 

Cold & Cozy Saturday

Last Saturday eve was spent all cuddled and cozed up at home, sipping red wine.. Me puffing on a cigar, my husband his pipe, while listening to old country music, rock and blues. Outside the temperature had dropped to a freezing -12c/10F, the kind of weather you don't want to venture out in unless it's absolutely necessary.. Half way down bottle no. two how ever, the idea of going somewhere seemed some what much more tempting;) Haha We pulled on our warm jackets, me on my  new, astonishing 13cm/5inch heels on the ice!With the red wine under the arm, we jumped in a taxi and went to join Miss T and her guy for a cozy evening at her place. More cigars, wine and beer later, some late night pizza after a beer out, we rolled sleepy and satisfied back to the nest...
