Sweet Friday

It's way too early and I just sat down behind my desk at work, with my first cup of coffee. But honestly can't wait to fly out of here, to weekend and freedom at the end of the day. I'm probably not the only one feeling the same. At least not judging from my facebook- and instagram timeline.. Lots of happy faces. It's something about the expectations that weekend always bring.. Anything and everything can happend. Right? Or nothing, if you prefer that. A couple of days rest, can be just as sweet.

Gotta run out and find a fun, little gift today. After a couple of laidback weekends, I'll be visiting my cousin, for a family gathering/her son's birthday. I'm fortunate enough to have a really lovely family, so it will be a treat to see them all again. Not that we are "perfect", or a role model family or anything. But they are perfect to me. Love them all, with their little quirks and everything..

What is your plans, if you have any?

Wish you all a wonderful weekend!!

TGIF.... Yaaaaaay!!!

Friday Bliss

Finally Friday, people.. Best day of the week, has finally arrived. We woke up to light snowfall this morning. Cold and dark. And it's dark by the time we get home too.. Doesn't exactly invite to any outdoors activity. Can't wait to get home to the mansion, wiggle my butt way down in the corner of the sofa, with a big glass of red. With no other plan, than finding something nice to watch on my computer. An excellent plan, if you ask me.

Yesterday I managed to rescue some last summer flowers, for winter storage in the basement. Kind of last moment, with the cold that has been lingering in the air the last, few days. Saturday I will be digging up the very last plants, that won't survive our norwegian winter. That will also be the end of any garden work for this year. Winter has indeed arrived..

Would love to have an old bench like this, in our garden..
A glass of red, in front of the fire place.. No better winter activity!

Bonanza Friday

Weekend passed by quietly without any big things going on.. We were supposed to go to a house warming party on Saturday, but was absolutely too lazy to go anywhere! Since we were reduced to a couple of drooling sofa zombies, it felt like an easy choice to pull the blanket tight, put on some movies and stay home..

With that said, it might have been the amounts of beer on Friday that set the mood.. After some thrift shopping, we ended up on Bonanza with Miss S after work. A small, cozy, western bar in the old bazaar area down town. Full of big and small cowboy and western details, even in the toilet! I love the western style, and what a treat it was to sink down amoung western heroes, country artists on the walls and cowboy decor with a beer..

It was our first time there, can't believe we've missed out on this place! But I'm happy to say and even a bit surprised when it happends. Even if Oslo is a fairly small capitol, compared to the big capitols in the world and it's "my" town. There is still new places, small undiscovered gems among the familiar ones, that's just waiting to be discovered...

For those who might not know and is querios; Bonanza is a NBC produced TV-serie, that was aired for the first time in 1959. The serie is about the Cartwright family and their life on the ranch Panderosa, in the Lake Taho area:)

Sister's Toilet Soiré

Saturday we went to my sisters toilet soiré, to celebrate her new bathroom! Or the fact that she now has a bathroom at all!! Like us, she has been sharing it with her neighbour and friend next doors. It's one of these old wooden houses, which used to be one household in the old days, where the whole family lived all together. A "generation house" as we call it. With the grandma on the top floor and the old uncle in the appartment my sister lives in now.

When the uncle died and the grandma got to old to live alone, they decided to rent the appartments out. My sister was offered to rent one of them for a descent prize.. It's a lovely old appartment with an old cozy fireplace in the living room, old wooden floors and walls, with one of these old kitchens from before the 50's and many other lovely vintage details!

We made hot cheese sandwiches in the oven, ate Miss K's lovely cake, drank our beer and chit chatted the night away!! On the scary side, one of the guests turned into a real life cake zombie and munched down 4 slices, before anyone even noticed what was going on and managed to stop him.. It was only cream splatter and two berries left after the massacre, for the ones that hadn't even started on the cake yet.. Scary good cake in other words!!

Sunday was a superrelaxed day spent on my beloved sofa, with a pile of pillows surrounding me. Coffee, zapper, magazines, computer, chocolate, chips.. My man. Everything I needed within an arms stretch;)

Yaaaaaaaaaawn.. Those lazy Sundayzzzzz....

Ps: I know my photos are on the darker side, try turning up the brightness on your computer if you have a hard time seeing them..

My Weekend...

Down the drain it went; the promise to myself about having a weekend devoted to my crafts.. Just an other of these crazy busy weekends, where in retroperspektive it seems like it passed by in a social haze. You might wonder what's wrong with that, or maybe I don't like being social.. Nah, fact is I love hanging out with my friends. And I love parties! And good luck to you, if you ever try pulling me home from one.. I'm one of those persons who will cling to the staircase to avoid going home.

It started out with a Friday beer with a friend, at Devilles after a busy week. Like I thought it would work, I told my man to be strict with me no fuzz and get me home after three beers, no more than three guess I should have said one. If I refused, I told him to ignore me and pull me home anyway.. That was before I dramatically announced that "WE ONLY LIVE ONES" "LET'S GO"!! I can be quite dramatic when I choose to be, it must have worked. Off we went in a taxi..

To Miss I's housewarming party! Which the little angel or maybe it was the party demon on my shoulder told me I couldn't miss out on, tried to ignore.. Miss I is the sweetest person and good friend. That's what friends do. Right? Even if they have an other party to attend to the next day.. And even if they dread double nights.

Turned out my little party demon was right though! We had a lovely time at Miss I and I don't regret a second;) After many beers and drinks and interesting chats, I was the one that had to pull my man home to get a descent sleep before my sister's toilet soiré the next day... He even called me an old lady. Tsk.. Imagine? What a nerve.. *MutterMutter*

Mmm on second thoughts, maybe it was paybacktime for all the times I called him gramps..

Weekend gone Wine

After an other busy weekend, it's Monday again.. It was one of these Monday mornings, were I wished that I had at least one more day off. It just feel like I haven't done much. Part from going out and being social that is. And due to Saturday, Sunday was a no-day.. I spent most of my day in the sofa, zombilised.. Frenzying on chips and other fatty substances that comes bottled and baged up. Unable to do much else than zapping around on the TV..

Weekend started nice and jolly on Friday, meeting my mom up after work. I took her home for some wine and pizza. Lucky me was given three wine bottles on Wednesday, after working a few hours extra as a bartender at work. The computers in the front desk were moved, to make room for a bar. For the house warming party that we had for the companies customers. Since we didn't get as many red wine drinkers as we thought we would, we were left with a few opened and full bottles. We split the bottles and a happy me could pull home three lovely bottles of red.. Johiiii!!

They were all consumed with the excellent company, of my mom and my love on Friday. My man had set the table, pizza in the oven. Red wine and cake waiting.. Quite the house husband:) Also dad came by and stayed for a while, before they headed home with a taxi! It was really nice to have them both over and spend some time together. Since we don't have the biggest place, we don't tend to have to many dinner guests.. Having said that, I'm not sure if frozen pizza count as a "real" dinner though..? But who cares, as long as it tastes good;) I love pizza!!

Story to be continued..

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Finally raised from cardboard box hell! To my relief everything is getting more in place at work, not as much chaos as it has been here lately with the moving.. But have to say I'm so looking forward to weekend, feeling pretty tiered after a long week in cardboard box hell! Since it's been so busy lately I haven't really had time to think about Christmas gifts yet either, which has been kinda bugging me. I don't want to be running around the last day, in desperation and all stressed out, looking for something nice to put under the tree. Me and my love went for a little walk around town yesterday after work, to get some pressie inspiration. Think we got some of the gifts in place, just have to go get'em now! Even bought some decoration for our non excisting Christmas tree lol. Drooling over the nice, big, fluffy, pine trees and wishing we could have one.. Since we don't have the bestest space in town, it's more realistic with a smaller one that fits on the table. Tree or no tree, there sure will be Christmas;)

A sad, but funny, a little cute, kinda pathetic, little replica of Charlie Brown's Christmas tree, from the Peanuts!

Maybe that's what we should go for this year;)

You want one? You can find it at Fredflare.com

Cold & Cozy Saturday

Last Saturday eve was spent all cuddled and cozed up at home, sipping red wine.. Me puffing on a cigar, my husband his pipe, while listening to old country music, rock and blues. Outside the temperature had dropped to a freezing -12c/10F, the kind of weather you don't want to venture out in unless it's absolutely necessary.. Half way down bottle no. two how ever, the idea of going somewhere seemed some what much more tempting;) Haha We pulled on our warm jackets, me on my  new, astonishing 13cm/5inch heels on the ice! With the red wine under the arm, we jumped in a taxi and went to join Miss T and her guy for a cozy evening at her place. More cigars, wine and beer later, some late night pizza after a beer out, we rolled sleepy and satisfied back to the nest...

Evening moods

Love'em!!
