Monday Blues - Lavern Baker and Voodoo Voodoo

An other late shift at work, looking like the whole week will be the same.. Blah! Talk about Monday blues!! Brought my jewelry parts, the thought was that I could get artsy and crafty, while waiting to go home. But so far, I spent most of the evening surfing around on the big web.. Usually how it goes, I loose focus in this dry office air. Yes, blame it on the air.. And everything else in here.

It's so boring to sit here. Want to go home. Home to my sick husband. Make him tea and kiss him well! Make the cold go away.. Soon, be patient. I'll be home soon.

Gotta get those jewelry parts out and pass time, it will go quicker. Just a quick look on facebook first, and lets see what's going on on Etsy, for the #"¤% time today... Home, sweet home!!

Some good ol' roc'n'roll with LaVern Baker, to pep up this Monday blues!

-Hey, I think it helped;)

Colleague Surprise

Friday we had a house warming party at work, as we just moved to a new location.. The best part of the evening was the house band. As I soon discovered, we have some really good musicians at work! They rocked the roof off the office, like they've never done anything else. This is people that normally shuffle paper around their desk. Well, I guess it helps that they all play in a band in the spare time.. But it's not like they're living off it. It's wonderful to discover this creativity and get to know my colleagues in a different way than I usually see them. To see that there's allways new things to learn about people you thought you knew.. I'm not sure if it's me that needs to listen better, or maybe I didn't dig deep enough in the conversations. Spite of that we see each other every day and spend most of our awake time during a week at work. Some people even spend more time with their colleagues than their family, but when it boils down to it, how much do we really know about each other?

How well do you think you know your colleagues?

A Charlie Brown Christmas

Finally raised from cardboard box hell! To my relief everything is getting more in place at work, not as much chaos as it has been here lately with the moving.. But have to say I'm so looking forward to weekend, feeling pretty tiered after a long week in cardboard box hell! Since it's been so busy lately I haven't really had time to think about Christmas gifts yet either, which has been kinda bugging me. I don't want to be running around the last day, in desperation and all stressed out, looking for something nice to put under the tree. Me and my love went for a little walk around town yesterday after work, to get some pressie inspiration. Think we got some of the gifts in place, just have to go get'em now! Even bought some decoration for our non excisting Christmas tree lol. Drooling over the nice, big, fluffy, pine trees and wishing we could have one.. Since we don't have the bestest space in town, it's more realistic with a smaller one that fits on the table. Tree or no tree, there sure will be Christmas;)

A sad, but funny, a little cute, kinda pathetic, little replica of Charlie Brown's Christmas tree, from the Peanuts!

Maybe that's what we should go for this year;)

You want one? You can find it at Fredflare.com

Moving Office

I feel I have been a little silent on my blogg over the last days, but work has been a little stressful here lately. We've been moving office to a new place. Not to far away, but it's still a moving process that you gotta get through. Like my work mates, I've been rather busy packing and getting ready for the move. Finally today we moved in! Quite exciting, but at the same time I haven't exactly been looking forward to todays mess.. But got through it allright. Our work space were filled with moving boxes, full of stuff, stuff, stuff and more stuff. Spent more or less all day with my head down some box, or trying to get some sort of order around me. Didn't even know where to start... lol I'll be so happy when we have everything in place! *siiiigh*

Wrong, wrong, wrong!! Next time I decide where the picture hangs.

I've been a bad girl, again..

It was after leaving work Tuesday, after a long and fucked up day! The worse weather ever, rain pooring down like someone was standing with a waterhose up there and deliberately pointing it at us. The wind blowing it up underneath the useless umbrella making everything wet. Giving us a strange longing for full rubber costumes, fully water proofed and tried out for decades at sea by rough fishermen! Glorious autumn weather. That's when we decided to seek shelter from the weather at Last Train, a little rock bar down town.

Coming in, we saw them rigging up their equipment. Concert! On a Tuesday? One beer later and the desission was made, lets stay to check it out! (It usually starts with one beer, doesn't it)? More people coming and slowly filling up, turning out it is a release party. Some champagne later, a few beer and chillinuts they started. And WOW, what a pleasent surprise! The band Seven were well worth the wait and the 80,- that they charged us for staying:) A sort of poped rock music. I really loved the cords, the beat, the vocal, yes the whole sound! Finding a new band that you like, is like finding a jewle among stones!!

Long story short, Great night! Getting to talk to the bandmembers afterwards was really a plus. I love the small stage concerts, such a different feeling than the big productions.. Hmmm and guess what? One of the two cd's that was thrown off of stage landed softly in my lap, just where it belonged, after bouncing off some guys chest and hitting my love's hand!;) Karma?

And me being bad? Well, being out in the middle of the week again (no need to say the next day were spent in front of the computer like a zombie, working home)... But with all of that coming, I'm sure I'm allready forgiven;) A little ash on my wings allways suited me anyway..
