Further down you find the tutorial I used for the eye makeup to my Crow Woman costume.. I changed it up a bit and made a black doll/geisha mouth with red center, instead of just black lips. I think it worked well with the whole circus/freak show theme.. I also had planned to make cuts out on both sides of my mouth, blood dripping from the wounds like on the tutorial on the bottom.. But didn't get the time for it, the eyes took much longer than I thought it would.. Doesn't it allways? lol Allways think I have so much time, but end up stressing through makeup and costume at the end...
I used clown powder in my face to get an even white surface, worked really well! Much better than the white creams you get in the costume stores for Halloween.. I've even used the powder afterwards, when I dressed up for the birthday costume party a couple of weeks ago. I found it to be really versatile and can be used for several looks. Just add as much or little whiteness as you want;)

Crow Woman
Some more photos of my costume as the Crow Woman for this years Halloween.. If you followed my blog pre Halloween, you know I struggled through no less than 4 yards of cock feather trim that was made into a small skirt and a stole, and also an endless peice of fabric for my tutu. With no sewing machine at hand.. I also made a small, feather trimmed, headband out of some that was left.. On top of this I made a crow inspired fascinator hat!
I'm not sure which evil pit this devious creature crawled out of..
A better photo of the hat while on my head...

Sensual Doll's by Beatrice Morabito..
Beatrice Morabito is a female artist born in Italy, currently working in Genoa, Italy. I've wanted to make a post about her for a very long time, but never came around to it. Maybe because she's such a favourite, her art truly touches a special string in my heart.. I've been in love with her stunning photos of the Sybarites since the first day I layed eyes on them. Like she's been swinging some magic wand over them and have cast a spell, she has given the dolls life through her beautiful and expressive photos. Powerful, silent yet screaming at you with their emotional messages, mirroring different aspects of life and society it self...
I hope the page won't be a pain to load, but I couldn't stop when I added photos of the lovely dolls, and there's even still more that I would like to add... Obsessed? Haha
"I’m not a “Puppet Maker”... I didn’t “materially” create these Dolls but, as Leopold Von Sacher Masoch didn’t “materially” make the woman and the fur but Created The Venus In Fur and all the emotions linked to this archetipo, by a cetain point of view I created these Dolls. I created these dolls in the way you’re seeing them. I created them in the way your’re appreciating them. So, the Dolls you’re seeing aren’t the Dolls themselves but the Dolls created by my eyes, my mind, my hands"…

My Own Purpose is to express my Own form of Art. I always take inspiration from the inner World: the World of Inconscious"....

Fatal Beer Fiest
Saturday night was spent with friends and family at a small beer festival in Oslo! It's a few fellows with passion for beer who started it. Every year they gather friends and friends of friends for an annual beer festival, Fatal Fatøls Høstfestival (Fatal Barrel Beer Autumn Festival). The beer festival is held in a small, old, cozy, wooden house in the down town area, which makes such a nice backdrop for the festival.. As a quirky little thing, they have old Monty Python movies running in the back ground the whole night. All the beer is home brewed by the guys themself and made on different ingredients. It's everything from blonde to the darkest ale, something for everyone. All of them rather strong on the alcohol prosent and really tasty! Dangerous. Though I have to say the darkest one isn't for the faint at heart, or the ones with a passion for the lighter beer types, like me.. But it's quite an experience to go through the different variations of beer that they've got, all so well made! It's about 15$ for the entrance, drink as much as you can. No need to say the beer were floating and there were a bunch of jolly happy people walking around... On the third beer I was ready to dance on the table;) Hahha

Against bars, tables, chairs, and poles”
Someone had pulled out the Tirol hat for the occasion;)

If It Was Your Last Day...
This is too cute.. I knew I had to have this as soon as I saw it!! An other great Etsy item, this time from The Shcmidtville Store. An artist with a splendid, dark sense of humour and a twist to many of his paintings...
Spook Up Your Home
What an easy way to spook up your surroundings!! Either you live in a small appartment in town, or a haunted castle on the edge of a cliff;) I found these spooktacular vinyl art stickers and metal signs in an other dark shop on Etsy, Pillbox Design. With fascination for horror movies, pinups, tattoo art and obscure quotes, they promise to take your home or office into another realm of reality.. Sounds good to me;) The designs comes in a varation of colors and sizes, ready to apply to anywhere you would want one. It be your wall, car, laptop, fridge or where your imagination takes you! You'll find these devious designs and many more in their fine shop on Etsy...

Nosferatu, reaching out...
Makes any room in your house look like a murder scene..

What about a headless horseman sticker?
Get your own classic hearse car
Small, but spooked detail for the car..
Ever wanted a badass stuntman Mike car..?
The message should be pretty clear..
Zombies walking..

Friday Night Fun
A few photos from last Fridays birthday costume party:) Been thinking about posting these photos for a week now, without finding the time.. Finally got around to it! The invitation said to go digging in your closet and come as an overdone version of yourself. I pulled out my old butler jacket, a black satin shirt with gold buttons, black sequined shorts and belt, fishnet stockings, golden stillettos, my feather hat from the 40's and topped it off with red doll lips and feather tipped lashes.. A tad bit overdone! The party was great, pople were awsome and we had such a good time:) Everyone looked really nice in their overdone outfits and the drinks were diabolically yummi!! What more to ask for? Think we stumbled into a taxi around 7 in the morning.. A real all nighter;)
Me with some late night sparked up coffee..
